SMS Terms: Program Description
These SMS Terms apply to text messages sent through Active SOS eMNS, an emergency mass notification service operated by Calm Water Trading, LLC dba Active SOS (“Active SOS”). Participating organizations use eMNS to send emergency alerts, drill and test notices, and safety check-in requests to their own personnel who have agreed to receive them. This is not a marketing program.
Consent
By agreeing to receive eMNS text messages through an online enrollment form, a signed enrollment form, or by texting START, you authorize Active SOS to send text messages to the mobile number you provided on behalf of your organization. Agreeing is voluntary and is not a condition of any purchase. Details of how consent is collected are at activesos.com/emns-sms-consent.
Messages and Frequency
You may receive emergency alerts, all-clear and update messages, drill and test notices labeled [DRILL] or [TEST], safety check-in requests, and consent confirmations. Message frequency varies with emergencies, scheduled drills, and check-ins.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. Active SOS does not charge recipients for eMNS text messages.
Opt-Out and Help
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. STOP, STOP ALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT are all honored. You will receive one confirmation and no further messages. Reply START to resubscribe. Reply HELP, email support@activesos.com, or call (405) 590-1851 for help.
Carriers and Delivery
Text message delivery depends on wireless carriers and networks. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Active SOS does not guarantee that any message will be delivered, delivered on time, or read.
Not a Replacement for Emergency Services
Your Phone Number
Make sure the number on your organization's roster is yours and is kept current. If you change or give up a mobile number, tell your organization so that messages are not sent to the next person who uses it.
Privacy
Our handling of your information is described in the eMNS Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share SMS opt-in data or mobile information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time and will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. These terms are in addition to the Active SOS Terms & Conditions.
